The Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) has announced the formation of a new membership committee. The team, representing a mix of both industry veterans and newcomers, consists of printers/converters and suppliers of the flexographic industry.

The group will consist of Pete Hartman, general manager, Polymount, Paul Teachout, VP sales & marketing, Nilpeter USA, Michele Talko, customer service/prepress manager, Prairie State Group, Amanda Webster, prepress production supervisor, CMC Group, and Jeff Dietz, VP sales, North & Central America, Apex International.

The members’ past participation in FTA has extended into its annual events, including Forum, INFO*FLEX and Fall Conference. Some have held seats on FTA’s board of directors and board of trustees. Others are actively pursuing FTA’s FIRST Certifications—two of whom represent companies that are on their way to achieving FIRST Company Certification.

“I’m pleased that these five individuals will spearhead the initiatives of the new membership committee,” said Jay Kaible, director of membership & business development. “With their experience and willingness to share knowledge, I’m confident that our future membership endeavors will be successful.”

FTA’s Membership Committee serves to expand the Association by helping to develop programs and benefits that provide added value to FTA’s membership base.

Under its new leadership, the membership committee aims to continue its recent surge of new members. Since January 2015, FTA has welcomed 144 new members (53 suppliers, 34 printer/converters, six consumer product companies, and 51 students, educators and individuals.)
